The offices of Precinct 2 in Hays County were previously located in a renovated bank building owned by the City of Kyle. The increasing population of Hays County justified the construction of a new 14,133 SF building for Precinct Two. It includes the Commissioner’s office, Municipal Courtroom, Tax Assessors Office, Sheriff’s office, Constable’s office and probation facility. Designed to accommodate future expansion, the new building is a single story structure utilizing limestone and other materials native to Central Texas. As a part of the Design-Build team with Lott Brothers Construction, it was important to develop a building that could accommodate multiple uses and possible future expansion while remaining economical.
