Baptist M&S Imaging approached GSC Architects with the challenge of re-branding their imaging center and transforming their institutional space primarily devoted to imaging uses including an MRI, CT , X-Ray and Ultra-sound room. The design approach focused on space planning to promote optimal flow for staff members to access patients in a timely manner while maintaining patient privacy. Wayfinding strategies introduced warm materials to the crisp, clean spatial canvas; the wood ceiling aligns with the wood wrapped registration portals and inherently directs patients to their first point of contact. Warm wood tones and imaginative lighting techniques give the space a soothing aesthetic and transform it into an inviting healing and treatment environment.
