BURNET, TEXAS | 4 RESTROOMS
Enjoy a little moment of Zen from beautiful Inks Lake Park. The striking terrain, springtime blooms, and melodic birds are sure to lift anyone’s spirits. Exploring the nine miles of trails through shady forests and sun-soaked rocky hills, one is bound to encounter the many unique new restrooms GSC created to harmonize with the natural environment and make the adventure more pleasant for all. Texas state parks are popular and heavily used. The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department commissioned GSC Architects to upgrade and replace nine unique restrooms in four different parks. Each park is unique and appeals to visitors with specific wants and needs.
GSC dedicated our time to studying the parks and speaking with the staff to produce detailed programming unique to each park. Durable finishes, easy maintenance, ease of use, and design appeal were critical attributes for each park. Our team thoughtfully designed the aesthetics to enhance each park’s vernacular nomenclature. GSC created four restroom replacements for Inks Lake State Park. The restrooms are all designed for high energy efficiency, and sustainable greywater systems further enhance each restroom’s life span. These attractive new restrooms harmonize with the park and make the adventure more pleasant for everyone!
