Associate Principal - Architecture
Bubbling over with her bright smile and endless enthusiasm for great architecture and green building, Bonny has over 28 years of experience managing commercial, municipal, and education projects from inception through one-year warranty walks. An active AIA member and registered Texas Architect, Bonny received her Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies degree from the University of Nebraska. Bonny lives in Austin and is heavily involved in the community.
Bonny has designed and managed educational projects since 1988. A third of Bonny’s professional career involves Special Needs Design, and she speaks routinely on the Art of Sensory Design. In addition, Bonny has managed projects for the Texas School for the Deaf, Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired, and the Texas Facilities Commission. Bonny is also passionate about sustainable design, has been a leader in the USGBC Central Texas Chapter and AIA Committee on the Environment. She is the co-chair of the USGBC Central Texas Chapter Board of Directors and Bonny routinely speaks on topics of architecture and sustainability.
Well-known for her education projects, Bonny lead the massive campus renovation and addition of multiple buildings at the Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired, the development of Phase 1 for the Austin Community College Round Rock Campus, the construction administration for the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Crusader Stadium and Bawcom Student Union, and a long list of new build, addition and renovations for AISD, RRISD, and many other public and private school districts in our area. She also holds her own on the commercial and municipal front, managing the team architecture and interiors teams at SHI, ARM, TCAD, and numerous successful projects for LCRA and Texas Parks.
